Kind request regarding Directory add-on ...
Dear all, is there an option to see the Directory add-on for fluentCommunity in action - or would you mind to at least publish some nice screenshots in order to let me see, if the design is 100% fluentCommunity conform? THIS would be so great - and helpful do decide very easy. Also i would like to ask, if the directory add-on has a star rating-/review option, so that it can be used just "similar" to TrustPilot or other. As for the policy regarding FC Extensions, it’s very straightforward: all extensions draw from your community’s color scheme or from Theme Studio, if you have that enabled and they all follow the underlying logic of FC. Plus, you have the flexibility to customize everything—using plugins like Layout, Space Home, or Dashboard to tailor how they function to the specific needs of your community.

Are there know issues with your FC directory add-on - or would you consider it as "100% integrated without any errors at the moment"? This question, because i am MINUTES BEFORE to install your plug-in (add-on) on a production page (xto.chat) with 3,3 billion requests per year. What i do not want, is errors or page break down. One more thing: Is there also an option in order to show an additional icon in the MOBILE HEADER BAR (left hand to the light/dark mode icon) for the directory add-on - especially for the mobile version? THANK YOU!

To be completely honest, you can go ahead with confidence—Directory is reliable. That said, I want to be fully transparent: it’s not perfect. I place a great deal of importance on testing—which, in fact, always takes longer than the actual development—but it’s still possible for me to miss something or for a few bugs to slip through. That’s just the reality of software; perfection doesn’t exist. I wanted to make that clear. However, these types of bugs won’t stop the plugin from working, nor will they slow down your site, as they are independent of Fluent Community. Regarding traffic, the real concern would likely be whether your server and database can handle the data load—though I assume you’ve already planned for that! In any case, should any urgent issue arise, I can step in quickly; you can count on my support. That’s what FC Extensions—and my products in general—are all about: support and responsiveness are just as important as the product itself. So, in short: feel free to go ahead! I hope you enjoy using it—and, if you’re planning to use Fluent Cart alongside Directory to sell offers, I wish you great sales!

Dragan Stamenkovic Dear Dragan, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP - and great products. NOW, that i have installed the DIRECTORY add-on, i can see the forms and functions inside the fluentCommunity user profile very well - and perfectly designed, as it has to show up within the FC user profile. There are ONE thing, i cannot find: When opening the /directory page (even after saving the permalinks twice) there is no directory content. Question: Do i have to insert a shortcode? THANK YOU! Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m really glad the profile part works well for you!
Good news: no shortcode is needed. The directory lives inside your community portal, like the Members page, and the plugin adds a “Directory” link to the community menu right after Members.
The /directory/ page in your screenshot is not the plugin’s directory. It looks like a regular WordPress page titled “Verzeichnis” with the address “directory”. Because it uses that address, it is shown instead of the real directory, and since it has no content, it’s empty.
Could you please:
- Go to Pages in your WordPress admin, move the “Verzeichnis” page to the trash, then empty the trash (otherwise the address stays reserved).
- Open the directory again through the “Directory” link in the community menu, or at your portal address + /directory.
And if you’d also like public directory pages that Google can index, turn on “Public pages for Google” in the Directory settings. On a German site they are served at /verzeichnis.
If it’s still empty after this, just send me your portal address and I’ll have a look right away.
