Issues with Audio Files

When I enrolled in one of my own Journeys to see the student experience, all of my audio files appeared as Documents instead of audio files. Also, I think Gallery isn't the best label for that section. Media would be better.

I ran into several issues with the audio player. I could listen to the file, but I couldn't pause it, fast-forward, or rewind. Once playback ended, the waveform kept moving as if the audio were still playing. On top of that, when I went back to the Journey, it still showed that I had never opened the file, so I'm not sure how playback progress is being tracked between the Vault, Journeys, and my personal profile.

Besides, while uploading audio files today, I lost a lot of time, because several uploads either disappeared after completing or never appeared at all. I never uploaded more than five files at once, so I don't think it was a batch size issue. They all eventually uploaded after several attempts, but I thought I'd give you a heads-up.

A couple of feature requests as well: it would be great to be able to upload a custom cover image for audio files and attach a properly formatted transcript. Right now, the comment section only allows plain text, which isn't really suitable for transcripts.

Issues with Audio Files

The term "gallery" is general for content types. I can't rename it "media" as that would be too limiting. In a collection, you can add documents, media (audio, videos), cards, and links.

To play, simply refresh the page, and the counter will update. I'll improve this in a future version. I'll also improve the waveforms.

For downloads, it's also (often) browser-related blocks. If you don't enable downloads, or even multiple downloads, the requests are sent but blocked by the browser.

For the transcription, you can add a text or Word file with the transcription details. And associate these two files with the same tag. However, this won't allow you to read both at the same time. The best solution for this is either to create a video with embedded subtitles or to use Fluent Player, adding the subtitles and then integrating that media into a collection.

As for the rest, these are feature requests, and I encourage you to add them to the roadmap.
