FC Extensions: the whole ecosystem for Fluent Community is here

A week ago, I introduced FC Extensions right here, with its first extensions. On Friday evening, at 9 pm, I opened the floodgates: every extension came out at once, along with the first two premium ones and a completely rebuilt FC Extensions.

I wanted to take the time to tell you what this really changes for a Fluent Community.

Why I didn’t wait

The plan was one extension a week. Steady, regular, well marketed. Then one evening, looking at everything that was ready, I thought: why make you wait? The extensions were tested, they looked great, and they could already help you.

Above all, while building them, I realized they didn’t make much sense on their own anymore. They talk to each other, they complete each other. Releasing them drop by drop would have meant showing you the pieces of a puzzle one at a time. I’d rather give you the whole picture.

What a member lives in your community

The best way to understand an ecosystem is to follow it from the inside. Let’s take Lea, who joins your community on a Tuesday morning.

She lands on a community that looks like you, in your logo’s colors, thanks to Theme Studio. Onboarding guides her: she completes her profile, introduces herself, joins her first space. Space Home takes her straight to the right page, and Space Rules tell her how things work here, before her first post.

She starts a course. Lesson Badge shows her what’s new, Next Lesson takes her to what comes next, and Lesson Notes keeps everything she learns. She stops for three days? Resume Lesson brings her back to the right second of the video. Meanwhile, FluentCRM Sync tells you exactly where she stands.

On Friday, a live session is announced. Countdown built the anticipation, Events registers her and sends her a reminder. Every action earns her points with Gamification, her Activity Calendar shows her streak, and the Dashboard sums up everything she missed since her last visit.

Lea never saw a single extension. She simply lived a community where everything flows. That’s exactly what I call an ecosystem.

What’s inside

Every extension is on fcextensions.com, each with its own page. To give you an idea, they’re sorted by what you want to do:

• Teach: Next Lesson, Resume Lesson, Lesson Notes, Lesson Discussions, Lesson Badge, Course Order.
• Engage: Events, Countdown, Onboarding, Birthdays, Activity Calendar, Reactions.
• Organize: Dashboard, Space Home, Blog & Collections, Community Comments, Global Search, Bookmarks.
• Customize: Theme Studio, Community Layout, Default Images, Display Names.
• Sell: WooCommerce, Ad Manager, Ad Sales, Directory.
• Manage: FluentCRM Sync, Multi Post, Space Rules, and Delete Account, which erases personal data as the GDPR requires and keeps conversations under an anonymous profile.

All of these are free. I could have charged for many of them, but I’d rather every Fluent community has a solid foundation, whatever its budget. I tell the story of each one in the FC Extensions blog article.

The first two premium extensions

Alongside them, two premium extensions lead the way:

• Gamification: points for more than 170 actions, levels that unlock rights and spaces, badges and leaderboards. The simplest way to make your members want to come back.
• Business Access: a company buys seats for its employees, its manager follows their progress and gets a certificate. A way to sell your courses to companies.

The Founder price, until Sunday evening

Since the launch, I told you: the Founder price moves up one step when the second premium extension comes out. It’s here.

Still, I’m giving you this weekend. Until Sunday evening, the Founder offer stays at €99 for one site, a single payment, for life. On Monday, October 19, it goes up to €199.

An FC Extensions rebuilt to welcome everything

With so many extensions, the old screen had become too long to browse. The new FC Extensions sorts everything by families, with a search that finds everything. It suggests the extensions that complete the ones you already have, shows you what’s new in each one, and the “Select” button installs or updates several extensions in one go.

And in your pocket, with FC Pulse

These extensions don’t stay on the computer. They also power FC Pulse, your community’s mobile app. An update is coming very soon: your members will find the directory, the events, their points and badges, their notes, their bookmarks and a search that finds everything.

A word before you try everything

I tested every extension, one by one. But with so much new at once, there will always be small things I didn’t see. So I ask for a little indulgence: I put the very best of myself into it.

How to get everything

• You already have FC Extensions: a banner offers the update at the top of your admin. Then click “Refresh the list”, and every extension shows up.
• You don’t have it yet: get your free key, with just your first name and e-mail.
